Alex Forbes

Founder

Alex was born and raised in the USA and came to the UK in 1969. His careers included airline pilot and corporation president. After a profound conversion experience in 1976 he graduated in Theology from King’s College London in 1981 and was a worldwide evangelist and Bible teacher for over 40 years. In 1988 he founded Embassy Christian Outreach which later became Embassy Bible College. His heart for the poor resulted in a Pastors’ Manual on how to Preach the Gospel to the Poor and a video of the same name. He passed to glory in April 2015.

Ian Findlay

Former Trustee

Ian was born again in 1985 and immediately healed of alcoholism. He attended Hampstead Bible School in 1987-8. He taught at Embassy Bible School from 1989 until 1992 and was a founding trustee of ECO and the Principal of EBC in Bath. He travelled with Alex in the UK and ministers in prophecy and intercession

Susanna Downes

Former Trustee

Susanna is a worship leader and Director of Music at St Michael's Without Church, Bath. She runs her own music business teaching piano, performing, and running a choir. Susanna has been involved in ministry for a long time and this has been expressed in different ways over the years through youth work, outreach, prison ministry, and leading worship.

Sheila White

Former Trustee

Sheila was born again in 1983 through the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship. She has assisted her husband in the ministry of mission videography for over 30 years. She was also involved in the work of Christian Education for several years, having home schooled both their children who are now grown up. She became a trustee of EBC in 2000 and continues to manage this website.

Hilary Latham

Teacher

Hilary is a Bible teacher and author of ``Towards Christian Maturity`` and ``Growing in the Word``. She has taught in Bible Schools and conferences in the U.K. and abroad. She was married to Don and they have two grown up children and three grandchildren.

Stephen Wood

Teacher

Stephen was born again in 1982 at a video evening run by Kim Freeborn. Returning after 3 years in Germany with the Army, God called him to lead a church in Warminster, Wiltshire which he continues to do with his wife Janet.

Teacher and Former Trustee

Whilst serving in the RAF in 1971 Kim had a profound conversion experience. In 1972 he met his wife Jean and they have three grown up children. In 1982 he opened an office for Kenneth Copeland Ministries in Bath, England where he was Director for more than 18 years. In September 2000 Kim started Passion for Souls International. While ministering in the Philippines in May 2018 Kim suffered a heart attack and passed peacefully into God’s presence.

Cindi Cooper (deceased)

Teacher

Cindi received Jesus into her life in South Africa in 1980 when she was a young single mother. She graduated from Rhema Bible College in 1982 and became involved in outreach. She was part of the Rhema SA Counselling team for many years and taught in the Rhema Children’s Ministry for two years. Cindi moved to the UK in 1996 and went to be with the Lord in April 2018 after a long illness.

David Dalley

Teacher

David Dalley is an evangelist and Bible teacher based in Bath and ministers worldwide. He has a particular focus on the Father Heart of God and runs seminars and workshops on this theme. He is married to Faith and they have grown up children and grandchildren.

Ruth Solly

Teacher

Ruth worked as a missionary radiographer for 7 years in Pakistan. On returning to the UK she married a widower with 5 children. They pastored a church together and ran a Bible School in Bath for some years. Ruth is now widowed and carries on her teaching ministry with a passion to open up the truths of the Bible to others.

Tony Palmer (deceased)

Teacher and Former Trustee

Tony was born again in South Africa in 1991 while he was in the army, having trained as a Medical Underwriter. He went to Rhema Bible Training Centre, South Africa and served as Director of Kenneth Copeland Ministries SA. Tony was an ordained minister in the Anglican Episcopal Church. He was tragically killed in a motorbike accident in July 2014 leaving a wife and two children.

Don Latham (Deceased)

Teacher

Don was a Chief Executive at Wiltshire County Council. He was also a Christian speaker and author and had a faith-building, evangelistic and healing ministry. He was a regular speaker at Spring Harvest UK and ministered in many countries around the world. Don was married to Hilary and they have two grown up children and three grandchildren. He went to glory in February 2020.
